Clarion 12 was "delivered", Softvelocity asks for money now

The prior blog post on January 20 titled Clarion 12 News mentions SQLite:

SQLite Updates
And we’re working on new SQLite features:

  • In-memory database support
  • Improved transaction handling
  • Better concurrent connection management

I tested some problems I had seen before and they were not fixed. Things like Duplicate Keys do not throw the correct error code 40 instead it’s a driver error or error 18 unknown. The SQLite Clarion Driver does not feel finished, throws odd and wrong errors.

Tack for the info on the driver as we have hoped to use it to replace Topspeed storage for saving queues… looks like the OLD Topspseed driver will remain in service for a while yet.

Just curious, why not just save queues to a dos or ASCII file?? You could also use a format like XML but it would be much larger (but should compress well with all that repetition).

well we are off topic now and the MODS may remind us its clarion 12 release. But yes it also gets saved to XML at the same time..SQL LIte was chosen as it is compatible with our Linux ported software.

I have a slightly different question regarding subscription renewal. After paying, did any of you receive a confirmation from SV (the sales department, not the store) confirming your renewal?

I did because I asked invoice for accounting.

interesting comments on the clarion live web streamed you tube vids by the super presenters , one commented it seemed like clarion 11. They have been sitting on the AnyScreen resizer for 2 years it appeared in a comment from the anyscreen manufacturer… potential going to waste? has the logistics of the many different stacks caused a problem somewhere and the project CLARION 12 is stalled…
