# I need to continue working on Clarion applications developed 5 years ago. Is it easy to modify them?

In one of my less tactful moments, motivated by the sheer frustration of working with mis-spelled variable names (eg “Catagory”), inconsistent capitalisation, absent or missing indentation, no comments, etc., I told the client that they could give lessons in writing unmaintainable code…
