# NetTalk Error and Discord Info

We have a client running into a NetTalk error when they attempt to send  
a particular PDF as an attachment through NetTalk. Our app is on Clarion 6.3 9058 with NetTalk 4.

Evidently, all users are getting the error on this one PDF. This happens only on this one  
report. Here's the error, "The error number was -35. Error occurred in  
function NetEmailSend.SendMail." I searched the NetTalk help which  
didn't reference the error. It pointed me to NetAll.CLW which also  
didn't reference the error. I looked in the method called out in the  
error and struck out there too.

If no one has any ideas, I'm hoping to get on the Clarion Discord server and possibly get  
some answers. Unfortunately, when the Clarion chats moved to Discord, I  
didn't grab the invite info. I'm hoping someone can either give me the  
invite info or tell me where I can get it.

I just signed up for CW-Talk on Discord. It’s showing a black screen with the Discord icon spinning. I have a Discord account, but I don’t have the username and password with me. Maybe I can attempt it again when I get home.

Not to be Debbie Downer, but considering that NetTalk 4 sunsetted in 2010 you may find it difficult to find much fresh knowledge of that version. Email in particular is a moving target.

Jane -

I know it’s an ancient version. We’ve rewritten our last Clarion app in .NET. We’re slowly moving clients to that version. If I can’t get any answers about this in Discord, I’ll probably propose upgrading this client to the .NET version.

Search for -35
