Tidying up categories and tags on ClarionHub (with a little help from AI)

Hi all,

Over the years a lot of topics on ClarionHub have ended up in “uncategorized”, and very few have tags. That makes it harder than it should be to browse the hub or find the answer to a question that has already been asked.

To make ClarionHub as useful as possible, the admin team is starting to catalogue topics: giving each one a suitable category and adding a few relevant tags. We’re doing this with the help of AI, using ClarionHub’s new MCP integration, with an admin reviewing the changes.

We’re starting with topics posted since the beginning of September and will then work backwards through older topics.

What changes:

  • the topic’s category
  • the topic’s tags

What does not change:

  • the content of any post — nobody’s words are edited
  • authorship, replies, likes or anything else

If you’re not happy with the category or tags given to one of your topics, please send me a private message and I’ll put it right.

And a small request: when you start a new topic, please pick the category that fits best — it saves us all some tidying later!

Thanks,
Mark
