Unable to Size of Move an Application frame in Windows 10

I have a Clarion 5.5 application which runs fine in all Windows except for Windows 10. It appears to hang up whenever I try to move or resize the application frame. To try and figure out what is going on, I created a little test app that is nothing more than an Application Frame and a maximized MDI child window.

  1. If the MDI child window is closed, I can move and resize the application frame with no problem.
  2. If the MDI child window is opened and an entry field has focus, I can move and resize the application frame.
  3. If the MDI child window is opened and focus is on a button in the window, the application frame cannot be moved or resized. It appears to be hanging but alt-tabbing away and then back frees it up.

Has anyone seen behavior like this or can suggest a work around.

I think that you have got bitten by the newest update of windows 10 -It made relly a lot of nasty things to Clarion 6.3 app’s, and i think that a 5.5 will have it even worse.
My suggestion is simple - move to Clarion 10, but its of cause not really easy, and too not free.
