Variable scope in two seperate runs exe

I have a user reporting that two different report runs to PDF are being ‘combined’ but only when running in separate instances of the exe. This user is a pretty tech savvy user so, I thought there might be something to it.

Is it just a few pages duplicated … sometimes … then see below topic.

If it’s a lot of pages and always then as Jane noted it’s likely bad code loading the WMF’s maybe with Directory() rather than using the Report Preview(Q).

Report Pages Lost or Duplicated in 11.1

When you print a report, it prints one page instead of the other, for example: Prints page 246 twice, in place of page 78 and in place of itself, page 78 does not print in the report, in the same report it loses one or two pages. I did 3 tests with Clarion 10, all ok, no errors. I did 4 tests with Clarion 11, in 3 reports gave this error, each time the error occurs on different pages, it is not always on the same page, one report lost only 1 pages, in 2 reports lost 2 pages, always exchanged…

If you are going to print large Clarion reports you should regularly run a program on end-user PC’s to clean orphan WMF’s out of the Windows Temp folder. As you fill it up Reports run slower then fail to run.

When in Doubt, empty the %temp% folder

I have this small utility on GitHub that cleans the Temp folder of Clarion Report files Cla*.tmp Cla*.wmf. Also CPCS Report and Tracker PDF special temp files. Most of my User Apps have Code in the Frame shutdown to run this Utility … every 2 - 4 weeks. When I first set it up I would be remoted in to an End User and see it remove 1000+ files. [image] Note in C 11 when AS was added the temp WMF files changed extension from .TMP to .WMF.
