We've updated vuMailKit to Build 160 and significantly expanded the online documentation, particularly the new **Getting Started** section.

One thing we haven't talked about enough is what you can actually _do_ with the new features in vuMailKit beyond sending ordinary text messages or attachments.

For example, suppose your Clarion application needs to email an invoice to a customer.

Instead of attaching a separate document, you can create a professionally formatted email with your company logo at the top, a personalized greeting, the invoice details directly in the message body, an optional personal note, and your company information or another image at the bottom.

And you don't have to write a bunch of HTML inside your Clarion source code to accomplish it.

**We've made that easier in several ways:**

- **Simple HTML:** Take ordinary text from a Clarion TEXT control, memo, or generated content and let vuMailKit create a nicely formatted HTML message, optionally including header and footer images.

- **TokenMerge:** Personalize messages using tokens for customer names, dates, invoice numbers, and other information. Merge directly in memory, work with external template files, or insert the entire contents of another file into a message. All without writing your own merge functions.

- **Reusable HTML templates:** Create a branded email layout once, then merge different content into it whenever your application needs to send a message.

- **Embedded images:** Include images directly in the email body rather than simply attaching them.

- **Simplified sending:** Let the Email Setup Wizard handle account configuration, testing, OAuth authorization when needed, and profile storage. Your normal send routines can then use the saved profile.

These capabilities are particularly useful for invoices, statements, appointment reminders, service confirmations, order notifications, and other everyday business correspondence.

**We've also reorganized the documentation around what developers actually need to accomplish.**

Rather than expecting you to study a large function library, the new Getting Started section walks through common tasks with explanations and Clarion code examples.

You can start with a simple send, move to formatted HTML, then explore TokenMerge and external templates when you need them.

If you're using vuMailKit already, take a few minutes to explore the new guides. You may discover capabilities that can eliminate quite a bit of custom email-generation code in your applications.

And if you're still using the original vuMail, the legacy-compatible functions provide a familiar path forward.

**The goal is simple: spend less time building email infrastructure and more time delivering useful features to your customers.**

vuMailKit is a drop in replacement for the old vuMail.

It works with Clarion 12 all the way back to Clarion 5.5 for both Legacy and ABC apps.
