vuMailKit Basic Edition is now available

I don’t like installs where I wonder what its going to change. One way around that is to use my Fake Setup that sets up just the X:\Clarion# folder plus minimal Accessory LibSrc\Win and template\Win. It also sets up the registry keys that installers look for.

I created a C:\Clarion_9_Fake and installed the real vuMailKit opting out of all the IDE changes. I found nothing odd. The installer does setup all the other folders like Documents and Vendor.

Then simply copied that Accessory folder over my Clarion11 Accessory. Windows merges them, there is no need to deal with each subfolder. It warned me about 7 ICO’s already in the Image folder. I had to register the template and did not get the other IDE features. You can look at the Setup Builder log to see everything done.

Vendors could use this method then zip up the Accessory folder to provide a manual “Zip Install”.
