I've been working with Clarion since the CW 1.0, but I don't think that it's any measure of my competency with programming in Clarion - there's always something new to learn.
After finishing a degree in Mathematics, I worked for a couple of companies but never got around to do full-time Clarion development. That only happened in 2000 when I started Incasu and we currently have two of the major banks in South Africa as clients.
I head up the company of several developers, of which some do Clarion development and others provide solutions within our Clarion systems at back- and middle office departments. We use JavaScript and T-SQL within the core Clarion systems to allow for a highly flexible ability to respond quickly to new requirements from users.
For me, Clarion has been the tool with which I've helped several businesses in achieving their goals and be successful. So whatever technology may come along in future, Clarion has given me a specific view on systems that is special - and I will probably still keep on using it for a long time.
