Create Google Calendar Appointment for Customer

Wondering if there is a template (Mike Douglas) or wrapper (Noyantis) that would allow me to create an appointment for a customer that can sent by text or email? Our users want to schedule an appointment for a customer, and then send them the appointment details that they can easily add to their Google calendar. Apparently they are having a lot of no shows and think this will help improve that.

Thanks,
Mark

So you want to know how to send an email, or SMS, from a Clarion app?

I can send an email or a text. I am hoping to send a schedule link of some sort so that when they open the email/text, the customer gets a prompt… add to calendar… so they can easily put the appointment on their calendar.

Hi Mark,

Yes, you can definitely accomplish all of this (quite easily) with our products. Feel free to email me and we’ll arrange a quick online meeting where I can demo the wrappers in action.

Thanks,

Andy

Good question, I’ve never done it but there is information available…

…best of luck and let us know how you go.

Send an email with attached iCalendar .ics file (simple text) which defines the event details in a specific format.

Below is a basic .ics file.

It’s being put on our program roadmap for the year. I’m hoping my manager gives me the go-ahead to pursue it.

Thanks Mike! I didn’t realize it was a text file!
