Is it possible to use .ax files as Regfree COM?

I have an app which uses some OCX regfree. This OCX requires dependant .ax files to be registered with regsvr32. I would like to avoid that. Can it be done? So that I would not need to register .ax at client?

.ax files, it it matters are some LAV filters for directshow…

I could take a look if you want - send me the OCX and AX files and I’ll take a look to see if I can generate the required manifest files.
