I have an issue with my app using Noyantis wrappers and Codejock OCX 22.0. My app will work just fine on my computer but when I copy my app over to another computer the Noyantis wrappers do not seem to work unless I compile my app using Codejock OCX 19.3. I have run the Codejock Registar software to manual register the OCX files but that does not seem to help.
I have reached out to Noyantis on this both by email and their support ticket but have not gotten any response.
Has anybody else experienced this problem when copying their app to another computer?
I copy the entire app folder over to the other computers. Which includes the 22.0 OCX files and the manifest files. I am using version24.12.04 on all templates except for the Property Grid, which is using 23.08.31. I have not been able to upgrade to the latest version because this template was original bought separately and does not fall under the bundle package for some reason and it cannot be renewed. I submitted a separate support ticket on that as well.
I use the following templates:
Calendar
Chart
Command Bars
Docking Pane
Property Grid
Report Grid
SkinFramework - Installed but not currently being used
Suite Controls
Task Panel
The first template that should open would be a docking pane in conjunction with a task panel and a command bar. All I get is a clarion menu bar.
This really is going to come down to a setup issue, but I’m happy to go through it with you. I cannot today / tomorrow, but am happy to connect up directly with you on Monday to go through it if that helps.
Drop me a direct email and we’ll arrange a support session.
I don’t know about the Noyantis and CodeJock, but if it is anything like another 3rd party add-on that I have used in Clarion then I would start by install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable on the problem machine:
Thanks for the suggestion Rich, but no other redistributable are required on this occasion. Its going to be an issue with what has been declared in the Data app Template Helper and the menu app Template Helper - there’s probably a mis-match which causes the incorrect settings to be applied to the app’s manifest files.
ok, and are you using RegFree COM - if so, is the template set to create these for you? (you must be using c9.1 onwards for RegFree COM)
Also, have you set the template to copy the correct version of the OCXs into the folder for you?
Lastly, are the correct license details in the Template Helper?
If the system works locally, then you should distribute your exe (and dlls if required), the OCX files for the version you are using and the manifest files (if generated).
