Converting from SecWin 6 to SecWin 7 any passwords with an older last changed date are not preserved through the conversion. Passwords that have never changed that are still set to the same as the login are fine and recently changed passwords seem to be preserved.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Best option is to email me a sample of the dssw file so i can test and duplicate here.
I found the answer. The passwords that weren’t working after the conversion were entered in ALL CAPS in the old version likely caps lock on during when it was set and the user didn’t even know it. It didn’t really matter how old the changed passwords were. The old version was case insensitive, but the new version is always case sensitive. We will need to be clear with users that if their password doesn’t work after the conversion to try the password in all caps in case it is this same issue.
