Sheet and Tabs not showing Colors specified in Window

I am making a calculator in Clarion 11 and is trying to do it as handcoded instead of using the appgen.
I am however using the window designer to create the window. The window is a simple window with a sheet and two tab controls.
I am going for a dark interface and has set 'using visualstyles' to false.

When I preview the window in the formatter it looks ok. The window, sheet and tab cotrols are black with white text as they are supposed to be.

But when I compile the project the sheet and tab goes white and the text is invisible

Kalkulator WINDOW('Kalkulator'),AT(,,456,292),SYSTEM,STATUS,
FONT('Segoe UI Semibold',11,,FONT:regular),COLOR(COLOR:Black)
SHEET,AT(25,14,405,234),USE(?SHEET1),FONT(,,COLOR:White), COLOR(COLOR:Black)
    TAB('Basic'),USE(?tabBasic),ICON(ICON:Clarion)
        BUTTON('MC'),AT(53,78,30,21),USE(? btnMC), FONT(,,COLOR:White,FONT:bold), COLOR(0404040H),

Any suggestions?

I would try removing the manifest

Werner,

the manifest do not need to be removed.

Set ?Sheet1{Prop:NoTheme}=True.

The help file says “It prevents the Operating System theme color from being applied to the SHEET /TAB controls allowing you to set the Colors.”.

Jens

PROP:NoTheme can also be set on a LIST otherwise in Windows 10+ you cannot change the Color of the Header. That would also prevent the new in C9 column sorting using colors.

This is a hand cloded example that explores every property you can set on Sheets including NoTheme

I deleted the manifest and now it seems to be working.
Thank you.

In the Window Designer on the Toolbar near the end is a Latched Button that lets you select between having Visual Styles On or Off. That changes the look in the Designer, but when ON it also changes the Preview to use a Manifest for Visual Styles. You could try a Preview with it Latched Down to see your colors not work.

This setting is only for Designer and Preview, it does not change Visual Styles in the built program.

Have you got Include('equates.clw') beneath your program ?

I have the foll. includes in the program:

INCLUDE('equates.clw'),ONCE
INCLUDE('KeyCodes.CLW')

So you suggest others?

Werner

equates have got the colours in, but you should have also got a compiler error if you were using a color equate and it wasnt included.

Have you tried changing the visualstyles to true and do you have a manifest?

For the record, clarion implies two includes when you write:

  PROGRAM
  MAP
  END

The compiler behaves as if you’d written:

  MAP
    INCLUDE('builtins.clw'),ONCE
  END
  INCLUDE('equates.clw'),ONCE

So there is no need to do the include yourself.
