What's wrong with BEEP()?

No matter which beep() you use, everything makes the same noise.

C11 und Window11

BEEP:SystemDefault
BEEP:SystemHand
BEEP:SystemQuestion
BEEP:SystemExclamation
BEEP:SystemAsterisk

Is this also the case for you, or what could be the reason?

It may relate to OS’ sound settings. For example, on my pc all these events are assigned to “Windows background” sound.

Cool, now it is clear. The old Windows versions had a better distinction here.

The translation (German Windows) doesn’t exactly make it easy to find the right setting - probably even more difficult with Russian😉, but as soon as you change it, you hear a difference again.
