Where can I buy clarion 6.3 ?

Hi Ken, and welcome to ClarionHub!

Clarion 6.3 is no longer sold directly by SoftVelocity, but in the past it was sometimes possible to purchase a second-hand license—as long as the original owner contacted SoftVelocity to authorize the transfer. That’s how I got my own copy years ago.
However, it’s unclear if SoftVelocity still permits transfers, so it’s worth checking with them directly before pursuing any unofficial route.

Also worth noting: Clarion 6.3 is a 16-bit IDE, and it must run in a 32-bit Windows environment. It will not run natively on 64-bit versions of Windows. That makes it increasingly difficult to use on modern systems unless you set up a dedicated 32-bit VM or similar workaround.

Unless there’s a very specific need for 6.3—such as maintaining a legacy system that absolutely depends on it—I’d recommend taking a look at Clarion 11.1, the current version. It supports modern OSes, and still compiles code written in older versions with relatively few changes needed.

If you’re trying to modernize or just figure out the best path forward, the ClarionHub community is here to help.
